Appalachian Mountain Brewery’s Latest Release “Not An IPA” Is An Ode to Brewers Having Fun

AMB’s Newest IPA Pokes Fun at the IPA-Saturated Craft Brewing World<

Boone, N.C. – March 30, 2018 – Appalachian Mountain Brewery (AMB) is releasing its deliciously fresh, fruit-forward Not An IPA in a new artistic package, available in six-pack cans across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. When they set out to brew this beer, first released as a pub-only draft in 2017, Head brewers and cousins Nathan Kelischek and Chris Zieber poked fun at the ubiquity of the IPA style and the fact that they were also brewing an IPA. That irony is encapsulated in the package’s tagline “P.S. It’s an IPA.”

“We try to have fun with what we do,” said Nathan Kelischek, head brewer, Appalachian Mountain Brewery. “We’re serious about brewing really awesome beer and making it the best product possible, but we still keep it lively and joke around as we’re brewing.” Brewed with Mosaic, Azacca, and Simcoe hops, Not An IPA offers a clean, fresh taste that makes the bordering-on-dank IPA deliciously drinkable. “This is not your typical IPA, and it certainly isn’t traditional,” Nathan added.

AMB is now offering Not An IPA in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans so beer lovers can take this brew home and share the fun with others. When designing the package for Not An IPA, AMB wanted to create eye-catching artwork to match the art on the inside of the can. The bold pops of red and teal, along with the clever name, make this can stand out on the shelf, and the beer inside delivers on the promise of a delicious IPA that shines with fruit-forward and bold, citrusy hop, crushable flavor perfect for spring.

Not An IPA is available now through the late summer to consumers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, but the fun doesn’t stop there. AMB will be releasing subsequent IPAs as part of a new series that includes Not A Double IPA and other bold and innovative IPAs that seek to challenge the status quo of the popular style
