Is it just me or did someone forget to write a newsletter last week? The answer to both of those questions is yes. Luckily that should have filled your bad luck quota up for the month so you’ve got nothing to worry about tomorrow. As thanks for saving your Friday the 13th, you should stop by and try our new brews. Last week we released Round To It, our newest IPA brewed with Motueka and Waimea hops. You can find it on draft and in 4-packs of cans all up in your favorite shops and stops.
In sours, we’ve got some sweet news. First up is Oddball, which we released at the end of March for our APS event at the taproom. Oddball may sound familiar to some of you long-time readers and sippers, but for the uninitiated it is a Bourbon barrel-aged Sour Saison with a ton (figuratively) of blackberries. This is about as close as you can get to trying the highly enjoyed BBA Blonde Sour with blackberries from last year. Next up on the block is a sour brewed with Orange and Rosemary. Our fruited sours have always done really well with you fine folks and we’re pretty sure this is going to the top of some of your lists. We’ll be releasing it at the taproom tomorrow, Friday the 13th.
Trivia is back again next week to celebrate two of the finest minds in comedy, male or female. Jessie will be testing your knowledge on all things Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. That means everything from Parks & Rec to 30 Rock, Mean Girls to Date Night, even a little Bossypants for good measure. You’ve got a lot of Netflix binging to do before next Tuesday the 17th at 7pm. Let us know you’ll be there on the event page at https://goo.gl/NX43y6.
Did you know we have a great space to show some movies? Now you can experience it yourself. We’re hosting the Church of the Brown Bottle tomorrow night starting at 7pm as they screen the classic film “The Wild Ones”. We’ll have food, good beer, fresh beer, board games, pinball, and movies to create that big cinema experience. Check it out at https://goo.gl/YXFMtz.
Put some food in your belly along with all that beer this weekend. Friday evening we’ll have The Height’s Dominican Food Truck out to celebrate the beer release and watch some movies with everyone. Saturday we’re looking at some good drinking weather and great shrimp eating weather so we’re bringing out The Shrimp Truck. Both are going to be at the taproom from 5-8pm.
Love pinball but hate carrying change around? Love cheaper beer than usual? Hate Mondays? Prepare to change that tune. Every Monday at the taproom we are offering not only $1 off full pours of our beer, but also free pinball! Come get your game on, you’d be surprised what a couple pints can do for your high score.
Want to see where the magic happens? Every first and third Friday of the month we provide tours through groupon. Don’t worry, the people giving the tours know much more about the equipment and process than me. Get yours at http://gr.pn/2nW6x3E.
