Episode #110 – Crank Arm Brewing – Unicycle Single Hop Pale Ale

Today we are drinking and reviewing Unicycle Single Hop Pale Ale out of the new Crank Arm Brewing located at 319 W. Davie St. in Raleigh. This beer is described as “meant to be both enjoyable and educational (to your palate)”. The malt and hop bill for this beer will stay constant during the year with one exception – each time Crank Arm brews they will use a different hop for bittering, flavor, aroma, and dry hopping so drinkers can taste and appreciate the uniqueness of each type hop. This batch was made using the Summit hop – a hop that has made itself known with its potent flavor and potential to add depth and character to any beer’s hop profile.
