Episode #119 – Boondocks Brewing – Two beer review!

Today we are drinking and reviewing two beers out of the Boondocks Brewing Tap Room & Restaurant in West Jefferson. Boondocks’ in-house beers are brewed onsite in a 10 gallon batches making each batch special and limited so these are examples of the fine quality brews you might have when at Boondocks but these exact brews may not be available. The Chief’s Cherry Stout includes a hefty amount of Maris Otter malted grain and generous amounts of chocolate and de-bittered Black Malt, combined with flaked oats and barley to create a unique roasted malt backbone and is kicked up a notch by adding a good amount of tart cherries. The Warrensville Wee-Heavy Scottish Ale is brewed with a mix of 8 different malts and hopped to reach that right amount of bitterness and aroma – plus a small amount of Applewood Smoked Sea Salt!
