Today in our second Boondocks Brewing video of the week we are drinking JMB Bourbon Stout out of the Boondocks Brewing Tap Room & Restaurant at 108 S. Jefferson Ave, West Jefferson, North Carolina. This is the “regular” JMB Stout aged in Jack Daniels Barrels.
The base recipe for this creamy stout is the popular JMB Stout recipe with some minor modifications to lower the ABV a little. Then they age this stout in barrels obtained from the Jack Daniels Distillery for at least 30 days. This aging mellows out this beer and gives it nice vanilla back notes with a hint of Whiskey and Oak.
