Today we are drinking the Cotton Pickin’ Farmhouse IPA out of Haw River Farmhouse Ales of Saxapahaw. Local & Sustainable – Haw River says they are “Local, Sustainable, Socially Responsible—and Family-Owned. Haw River says the Cottin Pickin IPA us “a beautifully approachable, rich-copper-toned Belgian-style IPA with a soft, floral hop presence, a smooth, firm backbone and a delicate, aromatic front end.” Aged for six months, this “soft, dusty brew sports notes of sweet oak, aged grapefruit peel, clean hop flowers and fresh melon. As it ages, the wild yeast characteristics should come forward, while the fresh Cascade, Centennial & Amarillo hop aromas may subside, constantly evolving in the bottle.”
