Raspberry Wild Siren Sour Ale combines the tart sweetness of raspberry’s in a crisp, and lowly hopped sour ale. This beer is fermented with a unique wild strain of yeast isolated from a bumble bee. This novel yeast not only performs the fermentation but also produces lactic acid to sour the ale without needing an additional bacteria. The result is a refreshingly tart ale, with a balance of raspberry, sour lemon, and orange notes up front that transition to a mild spice in the finish.
We took a little break and let Bruce Corrigan, CEO and Head Brewer of Nickelpoint Brewing, and Chris Murray, Brewer, discuss their latest beer release – Raspberry Wild Siren Sour Ale.
