What is a Crowler?

The idea behind the beer crowler is similar to that of the growler, except it is in a can form. A crowler is a 32-ounce aluminum can used to package craft beers and allow people to transport them home. Or, more simply, a big ass can.
Why change over to Crowlers?
  1. AirTight Seal – The airtight seal formed by the canning machine means that carbonation is not allowed to seep out of the can as it sits in your fridge or as you travel.
  2. Keeping Light Out – The crowler is made of solid aluminum that reflects UV rays and heat.
  3. Keeping Things Fresh – The ultimate result is that your craft beer stays fresher longer.
  4. Convenience – Finally, there is a certain amount of convenience about the crowler that you simply can’t get with a growler. It allows you to bring your beer home from the local brewery and drink it on your own time. It can withstand the pressures of traveling with ease, and you don’t have to worry about washing it. Since it is an aluminum can, it can travel to places that typically don’t allow glass containers – beaches, parks, and other venues that beer pairs well with. Plus, once empty, the crowler can be crushed to minimize the size for ease of transport out of places like parks and beaches.

A Few Words from the Saints

It’s the LAST of week of classes for most schools in the area. That means those teachers are feeling like a kindergartner on a sugar rush during a full moon. Parents may be feeling a bit different. Whether celebrating or commiserating Four Saints Brewing Company can be a place to do either. Food trucks, live music, food trucks, and Great Beer for Great People will get you to the weekend…and beyond.

Our Great Beer for Great People is ready for you to enjoy, as always and we look forward to seeing you here, in the taproom, so we can express our love and appreciation for you this week.

Cheers, and thank you,

The Four Saints Family

LIVE MUSIC

The Couldn’t Be Happiers are a folk-country-rock duo out of Winston-Salem. They have what fans call “a contagious energy” born of audience interaction and on-stage (mostly) playful bickering with one another. The duo performs an eclectic and energetic set of covers (Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Taylor Swift, CCR, Shovels and Rope, and too many more to list), but they consider themselves songwriters first. With their blend of folk harmonies, bluegrass rhythm guitar, Americana songwriting, and a rock and roll backbeat, the Couldn’t Be Happiers are doing something that might have been done before, but not quite like this.
Saturday, June 9

DOWNTOWN CLEANUP @ 10 am

It’s simple. We love our downtown area and want to keep it clean. Gather at the taproom at 10 am (coffee provided by The Table Farmhouse Bakery), spend an hour cleaning up downtown, head back to the taproom, and eat some pizza (from Time Square Pizzeria Downtown, provided by Keep Randolph County Beautiful). Feel good the rest of the day.
