In this new NCBeerBuzz episode, we travel down to Harnett County and Angier to talk with Ken Ostraco, Owner/Brewmaster, and Matt Ehlers, Zymurgist and Brewmaster at White Rabbit Brewing Company on 219 Fish Drive. At White Rabbit, they say “we brew real tasty beer. Beer for people who appreciate the fact craft-made beer just tastes better. White Rabbit’s beers are designed to be appreciated, but also crafted to be enjoyed.” Their beers are named and labeled after illustrations from the original Alice in Wonderland and they update the drawings and attach them to beers they feel fit the characters. White Rabbit invites us down to “enjoy a pint when you’re out, and bring home a growler for the fridge”. Aside from its colorful cast of characters/flavors, White Rabbit beers are popular among fans because they aren’t brewed in the “American style.” Like the origins of Alice in Wonderland, these are crafted in the English style, which are a “mellower, smoother and more drinkable” type of beer.
