UpCountry 4/20 ‘Stone Baked’ Pizza and Beer Pairing Event

Dinner featuring pizza and beer pairings in celebration of 4/20.

On April 20, 2017, West Asheville’s UpCountry Brewing will be hosting a special 4/20 ‘Stone Baked’ Pizza and Beer Pairing event. At 7 P.M., registered guests are welcome to come in, get a beer, and get comfortable in our dining area before the first pizza is delivered at 7:30 P.M. The dinner costs $35 a person and includes both pizza and beer.

A special introduction about the pizzas and beers will be given by Matt Kovitch, UpCountry’s executive chef. There will be five courses of pizzas, each paired with half-pours of our house brewed beer. The courses will go as follows:

UpCountry’s InGen Amber will be offered as a half-pour starting at 7 P.M.

Munchies: Bagel Bite. Pickled jalapeno pimento cheese, bacon marmalade, scallion. Paired with the signature Citra SMaSH.

Second course: Relax and Chill! Beef chili. BBQ chili base, mozzarella and cheddar, fried jalapeno, herb sour cream, oyster cracker crumble. Paired with the Baudelaire Brown brewed with American oak.

Third course: Salad ‘Za—Green Goddess. Lemon hummus base, feta, cucumber, tomato, fried artichoke, Green Goddess greens. Paired with the Only Always Blonde and infused with raspberries.

Fourth course: Breakfast for Dinner—Huevos Rancheros. Black bean puree, goat cheese, spicy sausage, roasted potatoes, fried egg, salsa verde. Paired with the Hopped Red and infused with grape fruit.

Muchies Again—‘Nana Puddin’. Wafter crust, brown butter banana caramel, ‘Nilla wafer cream, meringue. Paired with the Soon-To-Be-Named Porter and infused with vanilla and cacao.

UpCountry is West Asheville’s go-to for good beer, food, and games. The 4/20 ‘Stone Baked Pizza and Beer Pairing is sure to be a community event that’s especially fun and delicious.
