HOPS SELECTION AND PRODUCTION:
This course covers the cultivation of hops for the production of fermented products. Emphasis is placed on varietal selection for the local region, yard establishment, harvest, and post harvest handling; topics include growth production, drying, pelletizing, and storage of hops products. Upon completion, students should be able to select correct varieties, cultivate, harvest and process hops for fermented products. Monday and Wednesday evenings 5/31 – 7/24/17 from 6 – 9:50 pm.
