NCAA Tournament at The Jug

We’ll have our projector and TV tuned in to the NCAA tournament games this week, with a focus on any of the local/ACC games. Our default will be to have the games on without volume, but if we have a big turnout for a UNC, NC State, or Duke game, we can certainly turn the speakers on and listen in. Just ask one of the bartenders to turn it up for you.

First Beer Release & Grand Opening Announced!

You read that right! We’ll be releasing Batch #001: Dry Irish Stout THIS SATURDAY, March 17th, for St. Patrick’s Day. This will be a draft-only release (we’re still waiting on our crowler machine to arrive), but we will gladly fill your 64- and 32-ounce growlers on-demand.

In addition to the Dry Irish Stout, we’ll be pouring four other new releases as part of our GRAND OPENING PARTY on Saturday, March 31st. It’ll be a big day with great beer, live music, and food. We hope you will join us for the festivities. All beer on draft will be the same price and we’ll be utilizing a beer ticket system to keep the lines moving as quickly as possible. We will, unfortunately, not be filling growlers or serving flights during the event.

Wild Card Brew Off

Saturday, May 5th, The Frontier RTP

What better way to kick off the first ever Triangle Craft Beer Week than with a beer competition!? Each brewery (including The Glass Jug Beer Lab) has selected, at random, a unique pair of ingredients to brew a beer with. You then get to sample them all and help determine who has the most creative (and tastiest) beer! The event is also Vegas-themed, so there will be Vegas-style games including craps, roulette, and black jack (all raising money to provide scholarship and education opportunities for triangle area brewers). There will also be a DJ and food trucks!

Brewery of the Month:
Four Saints Brewing

In our opinion, Four Saints is one of the hidden gems of NC beer. They are cranking out some truly phenomenal beers day after day, so we are pumped to have them back as our March Brewery of the Month. We’ve got great beer rotating through the draft list all month long, so be sure to have a glass or fill a growler next time you stop by!
