We’ll see you on Saturday!

Updates from The Jug

We’ll be pouring our first FIVE beers brewed at The Jug as part of our GRAND OPENING PARTY this Saturday, March 31st. It’ll be a big day with great beer, live music (2-6pm), and food (12-2pm & 5-8pm). We hope you will join us for the festivities. All beer on draft will be the same price ($5/pour) and we’ll be utilizing a beer ticket system to keep the lines moving as quickly as possible. We will, unfortunately, not be filling growlers or serving flights during the event.

Wild Card Brew Off

Saturday, May 5th, The Frontier RTP

What better way to kick off the first ever Triangle Craft Beer Week than with a beer competition!? Each brewery (including The Glass Jug Beer Lab) has selected, at random, a unique pair of ingredients to brew a beer with. You then get to sample them all and help determine who has the most creative (and tastiest) beer! The event is also Vegas-themed, so there will be Vegas-style games including craps, roulette, and black jack (all raising money to provide scholarship and education opportunities for triangle area brewers). There will also be a DJ and food trucks!

Beer of the Week:
Sixpoint – Alpenflo

Some beers are easy to make and difficult to drink… but ALPENFLO is the opposite on both counts. It took years to acquire the materials and formula for Alpenflo—we’re talking all-malt, 100% 2-row barley, and we source all of the hops directly from family farms in Bavaria to give it that gentle spice. This lager is then cold-stored in horizontal lagering tanks to round out the flavor profile. Once opened, that frothy beverage is gone in a flash.

12 oz cans, 4.9% ABV, $8.49 6-packs
